An outfielder for example would choose a larger glove than those who play infield or pitcher. A first basemen has a specially designed glove that is longer with extra padding for easier catching and fielding. Catchers mitts are unique with heavy padding and only used by catchers. If you are someone that plays in many different positions then a utility glove (medium size) may be your best bet.
