Synthetic Materials: Aside from the natural fibres detailed in the lines above, there exist a number of different materials for outdoor furniture which are entirely man-made.
Visual Appeal. Store Bought furniture has limited visual appeal but by using right textures, elements can make it visually good. But in customised furniture because of freedom in design you can aim better visuals.
No special skills are required to repair general damage or wear to these kinds of antique furniture pieces, but the work requires extreme care and patience in tracking down suitable replacement materials.
Fitting functional needs. Store-bought furniture can’t always do what you need to be done. Example, you do a lot of desk work and have one particular corner to accommodate desk, computer, supplies, etc. You may be lucky if you find sturdy ready-made pieces that will fit that corner and your work requirements get fulfilled.
Synthetic Rattan Furniture: Synthetic materials are usually regarded with suspicion when it comes to environmental sustainability, even when, as with rattan furniture, this is one of the main selling points employed by manufacturers and retailers.
