Within the 0-2 count, a pitcher can throw any pitch that he thinks will either produce an easy out or a strikeout. The best 0-2 pitches you can throw are ones that appear to be a strike, but are only inches away from the strike zone. This is because umpires will typically give pitchers a strike in 0-2 count if it’s close to the plate, and it should be just far enough to where the batter will have a difficult time making contact. The best strikeout pitches are a high fastball out the zone, a sharp breaking slider away, and a curveball in the dirt because batters are known for chasing this pitch. Follow these baseball pitching strategies, and you are guaranteed to dominate batters at all levels of competition.
What Position will you be playing? Baseball Gloves come in various shapes and sizes based on the position they will be used for. An outfielder for example would choose a larger glove than those who play infield or pitcher. A first basemen has a specially designed glove that is longer with extra padding for easier catching and fielding. Catchers mitts are unique with heavy padding and only used by catchers. If you are someone that plays in many different positions then a utility glove (medium size) may be your best bet.
Here’s my secret to learning to love baseball: The greatest help from scoring baseball is the fact it forces the scorekeeper to actually watch every pitch. In fact, you’ll learn to keep an eye on what happens between the pitches. Defensive players are shifted one way or another for different batters. The catcher shifts position at the last second to avoid tipping off the batter. Middle infielders signal each other about who will take the throw should a runner try to steal second. The pitcher checks with them to see who is covering the base should he field a grounder with a runner on first.
